The Garden Route

Renowned for its spectacular beauty and sweeping beaches the Garden Route lies nestled between the Outeniqua and Langkloof Mountains to the north and the sparkling waters of the Indian Ocean to the south. North of Mossel Bay and George over the Outeniqua Mountains is the area known as the Klein Karoo. Some of South Africa’s most breathtaking mountain passes can be found here.

The Garden Route boasts some of the South Africa’s best beaches – including the world-renowned surfer’s paradise, Victoria Bay – and has the highest commercial bungee jump in the world at Bloukrans River Bridge. Try your hand at black-water tubing in Plettenberg Bay, shipwreck diving in Mossel Bay, or for the really adventures, view Great White sharks while shark cage diving. On a quieter note, try to spot the elusive Knynsa Turaco (Loerie), explore the magical Knysna forests or experience the wines of the Klein Karoo Wine Route and savior the taste of delicious Karoo Lamb. Conquer one of the highest peaks in the Western Cape at Seweweeksport, or indulge in the mysterious depths of the Cango Caves. Ride an ostrich in Oudtshoorn – ostrich capital of the world – or visit the Klein Karoo National Arts Festival.

Discover new business ideas at a world-class conference or team-building breakaway, then reward yourself with a revitalising spa experience a round of spectacular golf.
