Diamond Award for Azure at the Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa


A long time favourite amongst local and international guests, Cape Town‘s much loved Azure restaurant, at the five-star Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa, recently voted the No. 1 City Hotel and No. 1 Hotel Spa in Africa and the Middle East, has for the second year in succession been presented with a Diamond Award at the ‘2009 Diners Club Winelist Awards’. This is the highest accolade awarded and recognizes the restaurant’s superior and extensive wine list.

Azure restaurant is headed up by the talented food and wine duo of Executive Chef Roberto de Carvalho, recently selected by the South African Chefs Association to be part of the 2012 Olympic Team representing South Africa; and award winning Sommelier Luvo Ntezo, who took a world fourth place at the Chaine des Rotisseurs, Young Sommeliers competition.
